AWEA Small Wind Turbine Certification
The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) is developing a new standard for the certification of small wind turbines.  The standard aims to provide consumers with realistic, useful and understandable small wind turbine specifications; provide states that provide a subsidy with a better way to qualify products; and provide manufacturers timely and affordable certification.

Small Wind Stakeholders Meet in Chicago - April 2, 2004

At the end of a long week of meetings at the Global Windpower 2004 conference, more than 50 people attended the 2004 Small Wind State Stakeholders Meeting on Friday morning, April 2.  The attendance was larger than expected and larger than at the 2003 meeting.  Included among the participants were representatives of 23 states (including Ohio Office of Energy Efficiency and Green Energy Ohio), the Federal Government, the small wind industry, and non-profit organizations.  The National Renewable Energy Laboratory/Wind Powering America and the Interstate Renewable Energy Council organized the meeting.
