4th Annual EV Tour del Sol

GEO is again pleased to partner with fellow non-profit Clean Fuels Ohio (CFO) to present a unique educational opportunity featuring electric vehicles (EVs).  GEO, CFO and volunteers have coordinated three events with EV Owners and Dealers for the 4th Annual EV Tour del Soul, a portion of the GEO 15th Anniversary Event; Advancing Ohio Green Energy

  1. EV Cruise-In and Tour (10:00am-12:00pm): Meet at the Fawcett Event Center parking lot by 10:00am to join a carpool caravan (due to parking constraints we need take as few cars as possible to go to OSU CAR; some cars in the carpool will be EVs!) and head out on the 2015 GEO Spring Tour.  The first stop on the Tour will be OSU's Center for Automotive Research at 10:15am. There are 8 electric charging stations at CAR; 7 standard SAE J1772 connectors, and 1 DC fast charger where the EVs will park here and demonstrate "plugging-in". The CAR Tour will end at 11:00am, at which point the carpool caravan will move on to the second Tour stop at the enCORE Solar Decathlon House. The enCORE House Tour will end around 12:00pm, and then the carpool will return to the Fawcett Center.  You must be a registrant of GEO's 15th Anniversary Event; Advancing Green Energy to participate in the tour.
  2. EV Showcase (12:00pm-1:00pm): Several EVs of varying makes will be on display with owners and/dealers present to answer questions from attendees about their EVs. Clean Fuels Ohio will also be available to answer questions.  The EV Showcase is a FREE Event.
  3. EV Ride and Drive (12:00pm-1:00pm): Several EVs of varying makes will be available to ride in or drive.  Drivers will be required to present a valid driver’s license to event staff, sign a release form, and drive only on the provide pre-planned route.  The EV Ride and Drive is a FREE Event.
