2009 Ohio Solar Tour Information
Green Energy Ohio and the American Solar Energy Society
will host the annual Ohio Solar Tour on
October 3rd and 4th 2009
The tour is the largest demonstration of installed renewable energy technologies
and energy efficiency building practices in the U.S.
Last year's tour attracted 4,000 site visitors
to 27 tours and open houses that featured 150 sites.
Tour Site Candidates
- (1) Learn how to become a site! We are currently looking for homes and businesses that feature renewable energy and energy efficiency to participate in this year's tour. Help us promote green energy to the community by showing off your sustainable facility and demonstrating green technologies. Click to see a Template Solar Tour Site Page.
- (2) Sign-up to be on the tour as a site-owner! Click to participate in the tour and tell us about your home, business, park, school, or any site that has a clean energy application. If you have any difficulty submitting the new online application page, please print and complete the FORM, and fax (614-888-9716) or email tour@greenenergyohio.org.
Take the Tour in October
- The 2009 Ohio Solar Tour Online Guidebook will be available to the public the week of September 14th. Our Online Guidebook will give you access to descriptions and photos of renewable energy and energy efficiency homes, businesses, institutions and more. You will be able to create your own 'mini-tour' to as many open houses you want across the Buckeye State. The Online Guidebook will allow you to search by date, time, technology, type of building and location. Please check back soon!
