Ohio now has a number of photovoltaic units at elementary, middle and high school locations. The Ohio Dept. of Development Office of Energy Efficiency (ODOD OEE) is developing a web site to bring all these locations together including real-time solar electric output and other educational information for students.
Some of the schools photos and information appear on the GEO web site pages below and are part of the annual GEO Solar Tours.
To see details on more Ohio solar schools see Glen Kizer's Foundation for Environmental Education list, including those above plus Union Local Elementary School in Belmont County, Mt. St. Mary's College in Cinncinnati, Roberts Middle School in Cuyahoga Falls, Wheelersburg Elementary School, Worthingway Junior High School in Worthington, and Ohio's EnergySmart Schools Program. A national database and news from across the U.S. appears at Schools Going Solar on the Interstate Renewable Energy Council web site.
