Never before has it been more important to craft good public policy to fight climate change and to accelerate the transition to clean, renewable energy. Join us on May 20th as we discuss how fossil fuel interests and utilities have slowed the march toward a clean energy future in states across the country, and what advocates for renewable energy can do to fight back.

Solar power, batteries, and the other exciting forms of renewable energy will make us richer, healthier, and will protet our national security. The only catch is that we have to win faster to avoid the worst effects of climate change. That is where we come in, and geting inspiration from Bill McKibben;s Here Comes the Sun: A Last Chance for the Climate, and a Fresh Chance for Civilization is a good place to start!

With the climate crisis threatening drought, rising sea levels, more powerful storms, and increasing migration we need to build a new energy infrastructure that powers our civilization with renewable energy. Join us Wednesday, June 11, for our next Green Energy Book Club meeting to review our reading of Abundance by Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson and discuss how to create the world we know we need to build.
